A little bit of lately...

From mixing my favorite neutrals, to making dramatic marks with R&F oil crayons, I have loved every minute in painting studio this summer.

The past weeks have been filled with time at the easel developing a new body of work. While some paintings have turned out subtle and soft, others have felt dramatic with high contrast value combinations. The common threads that unite all of this work are the neutral color choices, and the focus on created richly textured surfaces by applying many layers of paint.
